Host Question: What is something that you about working as a nursing assistant?

Guest Answer: I just love helping people. To me, yeah, I’m putting their pants on, but to them, they get to feel like themselves again. And it’s a little task for us, but it makes the whole world of difference for them. And it just brings some normalcy back into their life. I love being able to help people make them feel like themselves again and not just being an inconvenience to someone.

Guest Answer: When people need this level of assistance, you know, you can feel very vulnerable, and it can be very difficult time in people’s lives when they need help to go to the bathroom and things like that. There’s a lot of emotions and a lot of feelings of vulnerability.

When people are in that state and you’re able to come in and help them, it’s a really good feeling to be able to connect, to help them feel better, a lot of times, they’ll really express their gratitude directly.

And in some cases, it’s a little more indirect, and and it might be harder to reach the person They might be kind of complaining a lot or or that type of thing or just really difficult to get to help. But when you find you crack the code and you’re able to figure out what that person need or do it right so that you meet what they’re hoping to have their needs met in a certain way, then that feels really good as well.

Guest Answer: I have the strong passion for wanting to change the way care is delivered.

So I love being able to provide, like, the way I care for people and help other people that need it, and I’ve had plenty of patients who’ve been able to help them, you know, live their best quality of life.
